I’m 14 and 6’3, i want to get into motocross racing, price doesn’t really matter, i want to know which one is fastest and the best, people have told me I am very good, I currently have a honda crf230f but its an enduro bike.

Well I’m very partial to two-strokes i know everyone races the big 250s nowadays but depending on your weight the best bike to race would be a two-stroke 125 like a KTM 125sx or Yamaha yz125. But if you want to stick to four-strokes the 2010-12 Honda crf 250r bikes have proven to be some of the most popular along with the 2011 Kawasaki kx250f was declared the best all around bike last year, ill include a link to that comparison and good luck.

Somthing like that should fit your needs , check your local shops for prices , you should find many of them are around the price of the one i just posted . Most shops right now are discounting all their 2009 models to make room for the 2010′s

What’s a good, fast, CHEAP racing bike and where to get one?

Question: What’s a good, fast, CHEAP racing bike and where to get one?
Basically I will be 17 in half a year and I will be able to drive. But to save on fuel money I want to cycle to places which are obviously within biking distance.

At the moment I have a rundown old bmx. So I would like a decent racing bike to get me to these places quicker than usual.

Thank you :)

What’s the best cyclocross bike?

Question: What’s the best cyclocross bike?
I’m looking for a cyclocross road bike. I need a bike that can go fast on the paved roads but can also handle dirt trails, grass, bumps and wet conditions. Any suggestions? Which brand makes the best cyclocross bikes (Specialized, Felt, Trek, etc.)?? Please explain why you think they’re the best too if you can.

Answer:

Answer by Terrence B
I don’t think that anyone can answer that question fairly. It’a a matter if each individual’s opinion and taste. That’s like saying that Trek makes the best road bikes because Lance won seven Tour de France victories on Treks. The correct answer is the one that fits you best. All of these are reputable companies that make high quality bikes and the ride and fit is what makes it the best cyclocross bike to the individual. The construction on each could be different but what works for you doesn’t necessarily work for someone else.

What’s the best way to train for mountain bike racing?

Question: What’s the best way to train for mountain bike racing?
I’ve been a recreational rider for over 15 years but have no racing experience. I ride once a week regardless of weather and do interval training every other day for 45 minutes on my indoor trainer; I alternate this with circuit weight training. I’ll be entering my first amateur race this spring and would love to know any training tips. I’m not looking to place on the podium right away but would like to have some respectable finishes.

Well, honestly, just to practice. Race everyday for several hours. Depending on where you live, race outside. Maybe even ask others to help you, or ask them to race with you.
Ask them to tell you what you can improve on.
