i bought my GoPro cam a few years ago because i thought it would be good for the extreme bass (car stereo BASS, not fish) that i usually film……it wasnt. Its made more for extreme sports, not extreme sound pressure created by woofers. I decided to give my buddy Matt the camera for the day and told him to go make me some video riding his mountain bike down some trails. He lives in Auburn so he took it to the ravine which is not to far from his house. I have ridden this trail a few times and there are a few spots you definitely do not want to fall from. dont forget to check out my website! Question: what kind of bike should i get for downhill mountain biking and also be able to do tricks?
i want to get a bike that i could use mountain biking. but i also want to be able to go to the park and learn tricks and stuff. i don’t know much about bikes, but i’ve always wanted to get into it. I’m 5’8″ and i don’t know if there’s some sort of size specification. any help would be great. i want to spend less than $ 500. thanks.

Slovakia’s Filip Polc took top honors in the Red Bull Desafio no Morro, an unprecedented mountain bike downhill competition inside a favela (slum) in Rio de Janeiro. Polc’s best time of 1:39.91 down the 760 meters of the favela’s alleys and staircases was enough to edge Brazilian Markolf Berchtold by over 1.5s. Britain’s Dan Atherton completed the podium with a top mark of 1:42.29. Dan’s brother Gee Atherton entered the competition in Brazil as the clear favorite, and confirmed those expectations by topping the qualifying session on Saturday. Race day didn’t equal lucky day for Gee, however, who ended up last among the 10 riders competing after suffering a flat rear tire halfway through the course. redbull.com
